Happy Easter from Sweden

Easter mustHave you ever wondered about what Swedes drink at Easter? The most common drink is a soft drink named “Påskmust”. I think that a direct translation will be like Easter Must or Easter Juice. The drink is colored black and looks like Coca Cola. I don’t know how to explain the taste but it’s sweet but not sweet. :)

The Swedes are every year discussing if Påskmust (Easter must) is the same drink as Julmust (Christmas must), which almost every Swede drinks at Christmas. No one knows but the tastes are suspiciously similar…

Glad Påsk! (Happy Easter!)

Winter in Stockholm continues

Hi!

Last year the Swedes had really bad “Christmas weather”.  Just wind and rain and no snowL.
This year, on the other hand, I think we will have a lot of snow!  Yesterday it snowed like never before in Stockholm!  I snapped two pictures from my window at work. Before and after lunch break. The weather changes fast =)

Hello!

Yes, it has been awhile. And no, time is not different in Sweden :) .  I guess it has only been to much to do!

Christmas fair at Sergels Torg

December has come and Christmas is lurking every corner!  The Swedish people starts early with preparations for christmas and the city is all light up by colored lights and Christmas trees and just Christmas things.  The weather is a lot colder now, around 2+ degree Celsius. We have some snow now  and I’m happy with that! :)

Britney Spears in love with Sweden

Britney Circus Tour (Source: wikipedia)

Britney Circus Tour (Source: wikipedia)

Britney Spear has just finished her concerts at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.  She is a high appreciated star also in Sweden and I heard that many fans enjoyed her show here.

The news papers write today that Britney thinks that the Stockholm archipelago are one of the most beautiful places on Earth! She took an exclusive boat ride together with her sons to get a view of the archipelago and really loved it. After the boat ride, Britney went to meet up with the Swedish producer Max Martin in his studio in Stockholm. Max Martin wrote “(hit me) baby one more time”, Britney Spears break-through song.
Unfortunately Britney wouldn’t tell if she are recording any more songs together with Max Martin.

Britney Spears will be back in Sweden after her show in Helsinki. She will stay here for 12 days.  Maybe I will get lucky and se her on the street!

R.I.P. King of Pop

Michael Jackson - King of Pop

Michael Jackson - King of Pop

Michael Jackson is dead. The reason seems unclear but they say his heart stopped.

Sweden likes Michael Jackson’s music as much as I guess the most countries do. Many people have grown up with his music and with his development.  His death is a sad story for everyone!
Every radio station in Sweden has been playing his songs all morning and his picture is on the front of every paper. Sweden mourns to this happening, together with the rest of the world.

Rest In Peace Michael Jackson
